About the Artist
My goal with photography, and it has become my motto, is to ‘create stories, one frame at a time’. My thought process when creating stories is to simply translate what the muse tells me. My personal history includes many job positions; I’ve worked with a wide range of people and personalities. All of that has made me a stronger photographer.
It begins with a single thought, or a sentence. Sometimes a title comes to me first and I ask myself what unfolded that such a title would exist. My photography and writing are interwoven and, at times, cannot be separated from one another. By default, any project I put together will necessarily contain both elements.
We live in a broken world that faces us with nearly constant reminders it needs fixing. I like to think that my ideas, whether photography projects or writing, contain central themes of humanity or fixtures that are common. That, somehow, an image I’ve produced or text I’ve written will not necessarily ‘tear down walls’, but serve to remind a viewer that maybe the walls aren’t really there in the first place.
